It seems that there are very apparent things about each individual child that are sometimes obvious at a pretty early age. It turns out that Toby is a musical genius. Just kidding. He does have a different way of loving it though. When we taught him twinkle twinkle little star 6 months ago or so, he took the hand movement and would do it to any music that he liked. In the last few months he has been learning to conduct at church. Here and there he randomly conducts to the music he hears (in Wal Mart to Christmas music, driving in the car to his kid songs, at home when Darin is playing hymns, etc). Well, this morning he was watching the Little Einsteins and the episode was teaching them to conduct. And yes, little 16month old Toby caught on and was conducting with the cartoon characters. He can't dance to save his life. He likes to sway to the music but so far it seems as though his rythem is in his hands and not even close to his feet. It will sure be fun to see over the years if this is a trend or a passing fad.
